|
In order to prevent power loss, the 690 Volt electrical current produced by the generator is sent through a transformer and raised to 30,000 volts. The transformer is in the engine room at the back of the nacelle and is seperated from the rest of the nacelle by a screen which can be locked. Each wind turbine has a SF6 switching gear system near the entrance inside of the tower. |
