The Vestas service package includes a check of
the wind turbine after 3 months of operation and then periodically
every 6, 12 or 48 months.
The tests are made according to a service plan which was specially
designed for the Tauernwindpark. Some of the tests included are:

Checking blades for cracks or any marks
of existing cracks

Checking of bolts, welding and for leakage
|
|
Checking of lubrication of the bearings
and bearing clearance
|
|
Checking of hydraulic cylinders
|
|
Checking and testing of ladders
|
|
Checking the oil levels, oil contamination,
replacement of filters, checking of oil pressure relief valves
and pumps
|
|
Testing of thickness of brake lining and
brake disc
|
|
Testing of various devices such as fire
extinguishers, anemometers, sound isolation, crane and its
function, cables
|
|
Carrying out tests for the individual
turbine parts, start, stop, pressure switches, emergency braking
system, pitch control system with different values, generator
load and overload tests
