Access Road

Construction work on the access road "Höhenstraße" has been completed. An inspection was carried out on 21 June 2002. Strengthening of the retaining walls and the necessary reinforcement of the bridges at the bottom of the access road have been carried out with the help of experts. The "Höhenstraße" is ready for transportation of the turbines pieces.

The excellent achievements of the planner DI Neuber and the construction company Lang&Menhofer should be mentioned. Motivation, adhering to the time schedule, excellent quality, perfect co-operation with the public and a talent for organising were the cornerstones for success of this part of the project.

Building of the roads within the wind park is now underway. The alpine humus surface is carefully removed in blocks and stored. When the embankments are completed, the blocks will be put back into place as quick as possible in order to keep disturbance of the environment to a minimum.
