All of the turbine components except the nacelles
are now at the wind park site. Delivery of the nacelles was delayed
and so transportation of the heavy 57 ton machines over the Höhenstraße
had to be postponed.
Finally when the first nacelle was to be transported,
there was no problem at the bottom section of the Höhenstraße.
The truck with its low loading surface was pushed into the curves
and then pulled out changing the driving direction.
When the gradient reached 18% on the unpaved
road, everyone had to pitch in and help. 2,300 of horsepower pulled
and shoved- the 4 wheel-drive Tatra was decisive in getting the
nacelle up the hill.
