Wind Turbines

Manufacturing of the turbines is in full speed. Gigantic halls are necessary for finishing the rotor blades. Special care is taken to ensure that the rotor blade surface is perfect, even the smallest unevenness is smoothed.

One set of rotor blades will receive a special layered surface construction. These three blades have already been transported from Vestas to a specially rented hall in Linz where they will obtain this layered construction.

Afterwards the blades will be transported from Linz to the intermediary storage area at the foot of the "Höhenstraße" by trucks. By the 25th and 26th of July all the rotor blades will have arrived for transportation by helicopter to the wind park site.

Erection of the towers will begin on 2 July 2002, starting with wind turbine 7.
