As seen on these pictures this year will be a strong one for the population of the black grouse in Oberzeiring.

However since the beginning of 2004 the Tauernwind Windkraftanlagen GmbH has an extremely extensive ornithological monitoring made.

For the first time worldwide this monitoring will show the effects of windpower production in delicate mountainous regions. First results are due for the second half of 2004, the preliminarily final outcome is expected for 2005.

There are plans to extend the monitoring over a few years to be able to make well substantiated scientific statements to this often discussed subject.

The results of this extensive scientific monitoring will be published as soon as possible.
